Nika: Your success is moving at a very rapid pace, are you still able to walk down the halls at school without security? (laughs)
Dymond: Ha Ha! Fortunately, I'm being home-schooled now, so I dont have to worry about that. But when I go to events or even to the mall (anywhere where there are tons of people), my big brothers, Royal Flush always come to be my bodyguards. lol They dont allow ANYONE to touch me and are always so over-protective of me. They are not my real brothers, but my mom has been managing them since she started A-List, so we are always together. Plus we don't have any boys in our family so they act like my big bros! lol Nika: You recently signed to a label for a recording deal, how is that coming along?
Dymond: It's going great. My mom and I love them because they put me to work RIGHT AWAY. I'm finally taking vocal lessons and working on a few songs. They even surprised me by having Brutha (male r&b group) come to the studio just to meet me.
Nika: When can your fans expect to hear your first single?
Dymond: We are hoping by the end of March but you know how that goes...nothing ever goes as planned. But it will definitely be out in 2009.
Nika: Are there any guest producers, writers, or artists you're hoping to work with?
Dymond: Yes, but I cant mention too many names (the label won't allow me to) but I can name only two...Jazzy Phae and the group Brutha.
Nika: We're all aware that you're living out your dream, but if you had to choose another career what would it be?
Dymond: I would love to act. I help my mom's talents prepare for skits and it is so much fun to play someone else other than yourself. It allows me to live the life of someone else. Plus everyone says I'm really good at acting so I'm confident enough to do it now.
Nika: You have a birthday coming this march; how old will you be?
Dymond: I'll be 12 years old!
Nika: Any big birthday plans?
Dymond: Actually, for this birthday, I just want to be around my close friends. We always have big parties for my birthday, but this time I want it to be private and share it with just my Bffs. Probably just a slumber party and movies. Something very simple...just as long as I get the phone I want =) I dont care about anything else! haha
Nika: Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
Nika: Hopefully bigger than Beyonce! lol I want to have a few successful albums, tour internationally and act in a few movies.
Nika: I know you can't give away too many secrets but what do you have coming up in the near future?
Dymond: The Maury Show should be airing soon...I'm on there. I was one of the 7 selected as most talented kids in the world. And Im going to come out as an artist and go on tour soon. I'm about to show the world that Im more than just a pretty little girl dancer...I'm the whole package....NATURALLY. I'm not a great trained singer. I'm a natural singer who will be enhanced by training. I was not a trained dancer...I was a natural dancer who was enhanced by training.
Nika: Lastly, what's one thing you want to leave with your fans?
Dymond: Wow...I just have to say that I'm so extremely grateful for every last one of you...my fans and my supporters. You were the first ones to even notice me and if it werent for you spreading the word about me, I wouldnt be where Im at now. Stay tuned...one of these days, when I go on tour, I will be honored to eventually meet some of you. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart...oh and also for supporting my sisters "The Cruz Girls".
